Company Information

M&S Bank (marksandspencer.com) is the financial services department of UK retail giant Marks & Spencer. The bank was founded in 1985 as Marks & Spencer Financial Services, and became a division of the major retail bank HSBC in 2004. Today, M&S Bank provides its customers with a range of financial services, including current accounts, insurance products, credit cards and flexible personal loans.

M&S Bank’s personal loans can be used for a variety of different financial purposes. The loans are unsecured, so you don’t have to place any collateral on the loan, like your home or car. Many people use unsecured, flexible personal loans to pay for their car as an alternative to other forms of financing on their new vehicle. Rather than accepting a dealership’s financing offer, it’s always wise to shop around to find the most affordable way to pay for your new car. The dealership’s rates are often not as low as you’ll find from a financial services provider like M&S Bank.

M&S Bank’s car loans differ depending on whether you’re an existing M&S Bank customer. If you hold a M&S Bank store card, current account or already have a loan wit the bank, you will be eligible for special rates and offers on your car loan. M&S Bank customers can benefit from a low 4.1% APR representative on loans between £7,500 and £15,000 over 12 to 60 months. The M&S Bank car loans come with no arrangement fees of hidden costs, and customers have the option of applying for a three month repayment break at the beginning of the loan.

To apply for a car loan from M&S Bank, you must be over the age of 18, a UK resident and have an annual income of at least £10,000. You can submit an application by phone or online for a quick response.

My wife's 60th birthday present is a new car, one that I know she has had her eye on for a while and with the help of this great loan from M&S Bank she'll be presented with it on her big day this weekend. Once I knew I had the loan secured with M&S Bank I got straight back on to the car dealership and told them to get the car prepared ready for delivery next weekend. I'd already given the car a sly test drive while my wife thought I was playing a quick 9 holes at the local golf course. I know it might sound a bit daft but I am really quite excited about seeing my wife's reaction when she sees her new car. She's like a big kid at Christmas and makes more noise than the kids do so I am expecting a lot of squeals of delight next weekend.

With the great trade in value I was hoping for and this really competitive loan from M&S Bank for a further 10K I am finally going to be able to afford my dream car. I knew I had to do it now before i settled down and had kids as a two-seater convertible is not an ideal family car by any stretch of the imagination. I have a steady boyfriend and we have talked about getting married and starting a family but I am in no particular hurry so getting my dream car now just makes perfect sense and thanks to M&S Bank my dream is about to become a reality.

We wanted to buy our son a car after he passed his driving test and had agreed 5K was our maximum budget but when we saw what a great loan we could get from M&S Bank if we were to borrow 7.5K we decided to make this car an early Christmas present for him and applied for the bigger loan. Our son was absolutely thrilled when we told him his budget for choosing his new car and on reflection we think spending a bit more on a new car for him was actually a wise decision because the new car comes with so many added benefits that I am sure it will save us money in the long run. We really are very happy with the loan M&S Bank have given us and have mentioned it to friends who are thinking of buying a car for their son as well.
