TSB (TSB.co.uk) is a British high street bank offering a wide range of financial services, personal banking options along with banking for businesses. Customers can access current accounts, insurance, savings packages, credit products and mortgages from TSB, and be secure in the knowledge that the bank is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.

TSB offers a range of mortgage options for homebuyers, whether you’re a first time buyer or looking to remortgage your home. Customers can apply for a mortgage from TSB by visiting their local TSB branch, calling the bank’s contact number or through the online application form.

Customers looking to take out a mortgage through TSB can choose from fixed-rate mortgages or tracker mortgages. This depends on whether the customer wants to be certain of the interest rate and repayment figures, or if they want to take a risk and potentially come out with a cheaper rate. TSB’s tracker mortgages follow the Bank of England’s base rates, so you could be looking at higher or lower monthly repayment depending on the current Bank of England rates. TSB has a Two-Year tracker mortgage plan available for customers buying a property.

The fixed-rate mortgages from TSB will offer one set rate, calculated based on your personal circumstances and the amount you need to borrow, which will stay the same for the duration of your mortgage term. This type of mortgage makes it easier to budget for your mortgage when considering your monthly expenses, but could potentially work out at a higher rate than the tracker mortgage at certain points. Customers looking for a fixed-rate mortgage can choose from a Two-Year or Five-Year mortgage plan.

You’re the rate you’ll be offered by TSB will be calculated when you apply for a mortgage. The bank will take into consideration your personal income, your outgoing expenses and your previous loan and credit history. The bank will also consider the value of the property you’re hoping to buy, using the loan to value ratio percentage. If you can afford to pay out a larger deposit on the house, you will receive a lower overall interest rate on your mortgage from TSB.

TSB also has a range of special rates and exclusive offers for first time homebuyers, giving you the chance to get on the property ladder more easily.

Hello everyone. I decided to write this so that I can share my experience with all of you out there.
Times are hard as most of us know, specially for young people starting a new life.

I'm only 24 years old , but I would like to be well off by the time I'm 40.
I know I will have to work hard, but if I want to have something which belongs to me, I need to start now and not when I'm 40 or 50.

I went looking for a nice 2 bedroom apartment with the intention of buying. Its an investment. When I found the right one I went to the TSB bank and applied for a mortgage, which was granted to me over a 15 year period because my parents signed surety for me.

I know the bank felt that I would possibly not be able to honor the repayments and thus requested my parents signature... but what they don't know is that I will be sharing the apartment with my cousin and her boyfriend who go to university nearby.

This means I will be able to use their rental towards the repayments and not be under any pressure of defaulting.

I opted for a fixed interest rate in the first 5 years and put down a 30% deposit.
With some luck I'll own my house totally before I turn 40. I think I made a good choice by applying with TSB, and I expect Ill be treated well, but if I'm not, Ill just move my mortgage as there are many banks out there looking for clients... Thanks mom and dad for giving me a hand .

Hi, I’m Fran, a happy TSB mortgage customer. Applying for a mortgage can be a really stressful process and I was really dreading it, to be honest. I prepared myself for lots of stressful meetings, paperwork and requests for loads of different things from the bank to get approval for a mortgage. Amazingly, none of this happened with TSB- it was so much more simple and straightforward than that and they got the job done so efficiently.

I applied for a tracker mortgage from TSB in February of 2014 after looking around for a while for the best mortgage deals. I liked the look of TSB so I went into the local branch to talk to a mortgage adviser. They helped me to begin the application and sort out all of the paperwork that was needed, and notified me two weeks later that I was approved. After that, they dealt directly with my solicitor and I barely had to do anything at all! Very easy and painless. I would recommend TSB for anyone hoping to get a mortgage, they offer a very professional service and really good rates.

TSB are one of the best banks in the UK for mortgage deals- my uncle advised that I go to them to get a mortgage for my new house and I was a bit wary at first, but in the end it was most definitely the right decision.

I called TSB up on the phone to talk with one of their advisers about what different mortgage options they had. I was very impressed by how extensive their range was. I already had a pretty good sense of what sort of mortgage I wanted, and luckily TSB had one from their range that matched up perfectly with what I needed. We did the whole application on the phone and it was quite straightforward and efficient.

I got approved soon after with a really good interest rate and that was that- I started the conveyancing service and bought my new house! Great service from TSB and really pleased with them as a whole.
